A Board meeting to followed the morning meeting

Auction: Emily Jernigan reminded everyone that the annual auction will be on March 10th beginning at 7 a.m. Please let Emily know the number of guests in advance to ensure enough food; Tom Lakers will give tips on bidding on larger items that are valued at a minimum of $300; Judi Gray is in charge of auction items valued at around $150
Awards: Martha Hobson presented Tony Lester with Paul Harris Fellow plus 3; Dick Davis with Paul Harris Fellow plus 1 and Beverly Davis was awarded a Paul Harris Fellow.
Martha Hobson announced that ORBC has been a star club every year since the inception of the star club. To date we are behind $4,000 on this effort and need foundation donations to complete this effort.
Kelly Callison announced he has tickets for the Tribute to Literacy Luncheon to be held on March 18th at the Oak Ridge High School. Tickets are $40 each and the speaker is well known author, Terry Kay.
The Program:
Introduced by Robin Textor; Ms. Katalin Illes, Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar from Hungary spoke to the club about her home country.

The "Party Girls", i.e. Pat Postma and Emily Jernigan are putting together a dinner for 12.

The two "Johns" (John Iacovino and John Wheeler) will be hosting a wine tasting for 8 people.

Lou Rabinowitz will prepare ravioli served with authentic Chianti.

Tom Lakers showed a beautiful quilt which is handmade by his wife. For more information on the quilt, he suggested that members look on the website where it is featured.

The second best Chinese cooks in the world (David McCoy, John Wheeler, and Tom Lakers) will be contributing a Dim Sum dinner for 20 people.

Pat Postma is donating a stay in her condominium in Santa Fe, NM. This beautiful condo is right off the downtown area, close to many interesting attractions. Pat has agreed to provide the winner of this vacation accommodation with a list of things to do, see, and places to dine...all within walking distance of the condo.
