Description: We honored two individuals for outstanding service and a number of our members for their considerable work during the 2008-2009 at our club's annual meeting June 25, 2008.

Karen Bridgeman thanks Jim Bradbury for the service that came with racking up 40 makeups as a tutor and leader in the club's literacy efforts. President Karen Bridgeman thanked the 2007-2008 board for Lou Rabinowitz presents Robin Textor with the plaque honoring him as Rotarian of the Year. Lou Rabinowitz, Rotarian of the Year for 2005-2006, stood in for last year's winner, Pat Postma, and presented Robin with his plaque. Robin with the plaque naming him the ORBRC Rotarian of the Year for 2007-2008.

Charter president Ken Sommerfeld (left) earned DG (and charter member) Robin Textor's thanks for his oversight of the District Golf Tournament held in October. Robin thanked Karen for her support as president of the District Governor's home club. Charlotte and Robin received the unique Atomic City symbol (a Karen's Jeweler's exclusive) as a remembrance from the club for their service to the District during Robin's year as DG.

On Thursday, June 26, the officers of ORBRC and DG Robin Textor, presented the banner honoring the home club of the District Governor to incoming DG Carol LaRue and the officers of the Rotary Club of Maryville.
