Oak Ridge Breakfast Rotary, chartered in 1980, focuses its efforts on literacy for children and adults in Oak Ridge and Anderson and Roane counties, leadership and service projects that touch young lives, and humanitarian and quality of life activities that make our community and our world a better place to live.
Our members – the community and business leaders who embrace Rotary International’s ideal of “Service above Self” – demonstrate their commitment through their participation in our weekly meetings, the time they volunteer (and support they provide) for club projects and activities.
Our weekly speakers help our 130+ members learn about the world of work and service, bringing us presentations that are entertaining and enlightening. Club assemblies that help members understand and participate in the workings of the club are held four times each year and keep the club moving forward.
Membership in Rotary is by invitation of the club's board of directors and approval of the full membership. If you are interested in learning more about this international organization of more than 1.2 million business and professional leaders with hearts for service, please contact me via email to RotaryKB@comcast.net
We're trying to kill fewer trees this year, and we hope to make better use of our online newsletter and our website. If you have suggestions for newsletter content, please send them via email to BreakfastBytes@orbrc.org (if you send photos, please send .jpg format).
If you have suggestions for website content or structure, please send them to webmaster@orbrc.org.
If you have suggestions for programs or speakers, please send them to programs@orbrc.org (please send contact information and indicate whether you have already spoken to the individual).
